A Canadian Christmas - hip, hip, horray!

I LOVE being home for Christmas. All of us "Crapo kids" were home, and it was so fun to be together. Now that we're getting older, married, and having kids, we've been able to get together every other Christmas. Already excited for Christmas 2010!

tt and carson

We've been in Canada for the past couple of weeks! Had soo much fun!

Tiera and Carson were married on December 20, 2008 in the Alberta temple. It was the coldest day ever (-30 celcius, I think) but it was still great. We were able to go with Tiera to the temple for her endowments the night before, and then to the sealing on the Saturday morning. After that, it was back to Calgary for their reception. Mom did such a great job with all the planning and decorating! It was so pretty! It was lots of fun to visit with family and friends that night! Here are just a few snapshots of the goings on that fine, cold night.

Christmas with the dahles

We had Christmas with the Dahles on Sunday night (12.14.08) since only one of Ryan's siblings will be in WA for the holidays. We got together for a Christmas ham and presents! We all had a good time and got lots of nice things! This year, for his nieces and nephews, Ryan asked me to make pillows after he saw an "Ugly Doll" that my niece has. He thought it was pretty funny, so that's what we did. Ryan drew them out, I sewed them together. I think the kids liked them - at least they didn't scare them!

Tomorrow we're heading off to Calgary for Christmas with my family. We're so lucky to get two Christmases!!

lydig Christmas party

This past weekend Ryan and I went to Spokane for the Lydig Christmas party. Ryan's been working for Lydig for a year now, not including the 5 month internship he did with them last summer. We stayed at the Davenport Hotel - not bad! Lydig put everyone up and had a nice party with a good supper one night. Ryan and I just hung out, ate, saw a movie, walked around in the freezing cold, and ate some more.

third trimester

Well, I've made it to week 28! I'm REALLY starting to get big now, but I know I still have a long way to go. I'm feeling good. No complaints, except maybe that I just cannot get comfortable when I'm trying to sleep. It's just uncomfortable to have such a big belly! Oh, how I miss sleeping on my stomach. Still lots to get done around here before Baby arrives! Hopefully Ryan and I will get everything done in time.

stockings

This will be our fifth Christmas since Ryan and I have been married, and we finally have stockings! Ryan wanted me to make our stockings and I thought it was a good idea until I actually started. It has taken me over a year to do. I wish I hadn't made them because now I'll have to make one for the baby next year, too. Would be so much easier to just buy them!

six months

I had my six month appointment on Tuesday. I'm really starting to feel like time is running out to get things done before the baby is born. We have lots to do, and poor Ryan has a long list of projects I want him to get done in the next couple of months. I know the next few months are just going to fly by, especially with Thanksgiving, Tiera and Carson's wedding, and Christmas coming up! So many fun things to look forward to! "It's the most wonderful time of the year!"

22 weeks

The past two weeks I feel like I have gotten huge! I really didn't gain much the first half of the pregnancy - about 5 or 6 pounds - but I think I'm starting to make up for it now. The baby is really growing now, and he kicks like crazy - especially late at night and early in the morning.

Here's my belly at 22 weeks.

halfway there

We hit the halfway point on Saturday! I can't believe how fast the time is passing. I love feeling baby moving around in there - it makes getting fat worth it! Just for the record, I can still wear some of my regular clothes, but they are a little (okay a lot) on the snug side. Still feeling really good; just tired on days that I work. We're both so excited for this little boy to keep growing! Ryan's so excited he went to REI today and bought some little wool socks and Keen shoes (but the shoes aren't going to fit until baby's older and walking around.)

I'm trying to keep track of how big I'm getting each month, so here's a picture at 20 weeks!

it's a ...

Today Ryan and I went for our ultrasound to check baby out! It was so fun to get to see the head, the face, the heart, arms, legs, feet, and everything else. We got to watch baby for over a half hour - actually, it may have been closer to an hour - I'm not sure. But, so cute! We wanted to know, and we were told (and saw) that we are having a BOY!! I know they say that they can never be 100% sure, but we're pretty darn sure!

The baby measured on date - 19 weeks, 5 days - so my due date is still March 7, 2009.

Here's little boy!
