eight months

(01.11.09)

We're nearing the end of the pregnancy! And I'm really looking it, too - so big, and still growing. I'm feeling good, but it is uncomfortable to have such a big belly. We are so excited, but I admit that I am nervous about the labor and delivery part - especially since we didn't get to take a prenatal class. I wish we had, but it just wouldn't work out, and I know there are tons of women who have had babies without taking a class, so it'll all be okay. Right?

I'm having fun getting the baby's room put together. We picked up the baby's crib and dresser on Saturday (which we got a great deal on - who doesn't love a great deal?), and I think it's so cute! I'll post pictures when it's done.

Here's to counting down the days! I just hope we come up with a name before Baby Boy arrives!

happy 2009

2008 was a good year! It went by so fast.

We started 2008 as real grownups; all finished with student life. Ryan started work with Lydig Construction, and we bought and moved into our first house in January. We're slowly making a few improvements, and it's starting to feel more like home. I worked a little throughout the year as a substitute teacher and as a teacher at a reading clinic.

During the summer, we went to a SeaHawks game, to plenty of Mariners games, and even saw the Sonics before they left Seattle. We spent many a Saturday or Sunday with Ryan's family, a few weekends in Portland with my sister and her family, and even had family come visit from Canada a few times! Erin and I also made the long drive home with her two kids for a week. Summer also brought exciting news! TT got engaged to Carson, and we found out that we were having a baby!

The holiday season just flew by. My family came down for Canadian Thanksgiving, we spent American Thanksgiving with the Dahles, and then went home for Tiera and Carson's wedding and a Canadian Christmas with the Crapos! We even brought in the new year while in Canada.

Now, in 2009, we have plenty to look forward to. Only a couple more months and we'll have a little boy in our little family, and we know that will bring a lot of excitement this coming year! We're looking forward to all the good that's coming in 2009!

Happy New Year!

A Canadian Christmas - hip, hip, horray!

I LOVE being home for Christmas. All of us "Crapo kids" were home, and it was so fun to be together. Now that we're getting older, married, and having kids, we've been able to get together every other Christmas. Already excited for Christmas 2010!

We've been in Canada for the past couple of weeks! Had soo much fun!

Tiera and Carson were married on December 20, 2008 in the Alberta temple. It was the coldest day ever (-30 celcius, I think) but it was still great. We were able to go with Tiera to the temple for her endowments the night before, and then to the sealing on the Saturday morning. After that, it was back to Calgary for their reception. Mom did such a great job with all the planning and decorating! It was so pretty! It was lots of fun to visit with family and friends that night! Here are just a few snapshots of the goings on that fine, cold night.
